The campaign properly begins. The full plan is 25 missions across five acts, and Act I is now playable: ten missions, five per faction, each carrying the voice of its own side.
Who speaks
For the Coalition: Cmdr. Mara Vega, Dr. Lena Osorio and Ensign Dax Moreno. For Axios: Archon Vess’Khar and Herald Ixxil.
Until now every mission was narrated by the faction commander. Now each character speaks with their own face: all six portraits are in, and they appear in dialogue according to who is giving you the order.
Custodians don’t attack you for your flag
The whole campaign now rests on an idea that changes what fighting in a contested sector means: the Custody Network reacts to extraction, not to uniforms.
The NPCs that come at you on the front are Custodians, and they are hostile to Coalition and Axios alike. You are no longer shooting an enemy for wearing different colours, but because both of you are looting something that belongs to neither — and there is a third party who is not remotely pleased about it.
New objectives
- Mining in drone batches and collecting specific units of material.
- Granted mission items: the second mission hands you the mining ship, yours for good.
- Material rewards (Quasicrystal and Fragment), so the mission chain lets you upgrade weapons and modules rather than only buy the hull.
Acts II through V, reward bags and bosses are still to come.
